Franklin Nature Trial

An awesome flat track that takes you down through the rain forest to the rivers edge. Wide enough to accommodate most chairs and the surface is compacted or wooden. Toilet is accessible with a a basic handrail and level entry.

WHEELIES COMMENTS: small lip at the start of the track is to watch out for. We turned left at the fork in the track, which seemed to be sloping towards river. This made it easier going down and gradient coming back up wasn’t as bad. I did it in a manual chair but some sections were a good push. Some wheelchair users may require a push as gradient varies. Track surface was nice and solid. Toilet as the greatest, but has handrail and level entry.
