Wheelies Comments – Heaps of parking on bottom level of car park. Nice long easy ramp down to the main entrance of the site. The site itself is a huge and on the side of a hill. The gradient around the bottom wasn’t to bad but further you go past the main penitentiary site it gets steeper and steeper. Some manual wheelchair users truly will struggle to push around the site without assistance. There is courtesy vehicle available, if you can do the transfer onto them. They are the golf buggy type vehicles and I didn’t do the transfer. Un sure if people will be able to, will depend on the individual and how they will strap your chair to the back. They were friendly and willing to help  all the same. I pushed around the bulk of the bottom of the site with the help of my young son. The cruise is part of your entry fee. The boat is accessible via a ramp with a small lip at either end easily managed in a wheelchair. Ramp access to the penitentiary is at the rear of building. Other buildings mainly have steps but unsure if you can go in them regardless.
